He blushes as he returns her embrace. “*Ahem* I’m glad that I could help such a lovely maiden feel better. Regardless of my feelings about the man I can tell that you really care for him, and that is reason enough for me to believe that he is a good man at heart.”
“I… Ah…” He blushes “Well I have, never have *ahem* left a girl behind at all. Perhaps if he left you to be a knight-in-training his desire was simply to spare you from the heartbreak of losing the one you love. If that is the case then perhaps he cherishes your happiness more than his own. However, were it me I couldn’t bear to have you away from me for even a moment!”
“Oh I am certain that they are both fine, wherever they are. Lord Hector once mentioned that of all of us in the army the Assassins were most able to handle themselves. But rest assured, wherever he might be, he has not forgotten about you.”
“… I’m not sure I like your tone sir.” He scoffs. “Hyrule? I have not even heard of a place such as that. And competition? This… IMPOSTER… as you called him, surely cannot be as daring as the valiant knights of Caelin. If he is found to be so popular with the girls, as you say, then I would not doubt that he likely became a knight for that purpose alone! I mean really, gallivanting off fighting for his Kingdom alone? Yes, I am certain that his intentions in doing so are not entirely pure. Be wary the next time you run into this man.”
“Oh, please don’t look so sad my dear!” He takes her hand in his own. “I am certain that you will see him again. But for both of them to be missing, they couldn’t have rejoined the black fang could they?”
“Me either, Sister… Hopefully I can read this right..!” The Mage read off what he could from the tome, shooting out a quick ball of light energy to the poltergeist.
((It was getting kind of long again so I shortened it sorry))
Sain screamed and the ghost became clearly visible. “KYAAA!” It screams and spins several times before evaporating like the earlier creatures. Sain staggers. “What… is… OH! That ghost! Erk, Natasha, there is a ghost here! It said we were to meet our end on Dread Isle, yet it wanted the satisfaction of destroying the heroes itself. I believe we may be walking into a trap.”
“Are you alright, Sain? That ghost possessed you for a moment! And what, on Dread Isle? What can be happening there that’s causing all this..” He try’s to think, but he remembers someone first. “Joshua! We need to check on him! Was anything happening up there, Sister?!”
Joshua: *is on dingy* HEY! Can someone toss me a rope? I killed all the skeletons…
“Really? I was possessed? I hope I didn’t try to hurt you. Alas, we still have a quest to accomplish and even if the Dragon’s Gate is a trap, what choice do we have but to press onward?” He turns to Dart. “Dart, we press onward to Dread Isle!”
Erk throws and holds a rope down for Joshua before doing so. As the group finally gets back together, he feels at ease once more, but only for a moment. Why was there a ghost on the ship? Why was skeletons trying to get to us? As he pondered to himself, I looks up the sky. The Moon gets closer and closer every night… What could be causing this? All these mysteries… Will it really be answered in the Dragon’s Gate?
Joshua: I doubt either of you two would know, but those skeletons I just fought looked a lot like the Bonewalkers and Wights we fought in the war a while ago. Remember, Natasha?
Natasha: Ah, yes… I remember the skeletons… They were quite frightening…
Joshua: In fact, I’d say they were EXACTLY like them. But why would they be out here in the middle of nowhere?
Natasha: I thought we purged Magvel of those creatures with our ‘creature campaign’ a while back…
Sain thought for a moment, “If you did manage to destroy them all, then perhaps you did not destroy their source? But as you ask, why would they be appearing now, if that were the case? Unless of course… this… “Ganondorf?” was it? character is also able to command these… Erk watch out!” He leaped in front of Erk as a large ball of fire raced toward him. He unsheathed the Master Sword and the blade began to glow in his hands, but this time it did not burn. Something in him told Sain to strike towards fireball, and with the swing of the sword a beam of energy shot from the tip of the blade splitting the fireblast in two.
“How… How did that happen?” He asked, stunned. He quickly recalled that he was on a battlefield and found the source of the attack. A short man floating a few feet off of the ground garbed in red with a ridiculously wide brimmed pointed hat much like those in old witch tales. Looking closer, Sain immediately realized that what he was looking at was not human. Underneath the hat was a pair of glowing eyes without any face to speak of.
Sain raised the master sword above his head once again and swung a second energy beam towards the creature, but before it could strike, the creature warped the space around it and dissapeared.“WHAT?!??” He cried. “Where on earth did it go?”
“What in Elimine’s name… This for is unlike anything we’ve faced so far!” What is this?! The Mage froze there for a second as the creature quickly went past him. During that split second, Erk felt something. It was ominous and dark.. It was almost unreal to him. And then he heard it, it cackled, laughing at the group as it floated above he ship, staring at the moon. “Who… Who are you?!”
The figure looked as if he were swinging in an invisible hammock. When he turned to face the heroes, they could see that he was wearing a frightening purple mask adorned with spines. A knot formed in Sain’s stomach as he stared at him. “You’ll find out soon enough.” The figure responded. “You want to stop Ganondorf right?” He rested his head in one hand and pointed to the moon with the other. “Well, to do that you need to go there first.”
Sain scoffed. “How do you expect us to get to the moon?”
“Swamp. Mountain. Ocean. Valley. The four points on that island.” He gestures toward Dread Isle which seems to have suddenly appeared from the horizon. “The four there will show you the way.” He snaps his fingers and disappears.
Sain looked at the others. “Do you think we can trust him?”
“Thank you, milord! And Sain, we have no choice by to believe him for now! I have a feeling that those places have something to do with the moon!” he looks up into he fog, shooting multiple fireballs. “That mask!! You imp, where did you find it?! I… I only thought that.. He had it.. What did you do to he salesman?! That mask has untold powers!!” he yelled. “Guys.. I have no idea what power this imp holds, but all I can say is that it’s far more powerful than us!!”
“Far more powerful you say?” He stared up towards the imp. “We’ll see about that!” He swung the sword and another slice of energy tore through the sky towards its target. The imp sighed. “I was trying to help but I guess you want to do this the hard way.” The violet mask that adorned his face began shaking and the blast dissipated into nothing. Sain scowled. “You will have to do better than that!” He moved to swing again when the creature from before reappeared. Before Sain had a chance to react the creature had sent another fireball in his direction. “GAH!” Sain was knocked back several feet by the blast and screamed in pain. Once again the creature disappeared from sight. “Blast… how can we defeat such a creature?”
The imp rolled its eyes. “Are you really having this much trouble with a Wizzrobe? Maybe you’re not really the heroes we’re looking.” Sain stood to his feet. “Ha, if that were true why has this ‘master sword’ accepted me as the hero?” He once again swung the sword, this time putting all his strength into it. This time however, he was left standing stupidly as nothing happened. “Um… That was just a warning. Next time you had better be prepared!” He clutched his side where the fire ball had hit him. He then turned to Erk and whispered. “You are well versed in magic correct? Why isn’t this shooting those blasts any more?”
Natasha: Sain, are you alright?? *runs over to heal*
Joshua: From what I’ve seen, it stopped blasting after you got hurt. I guess it only shoots blasts when you’re fully healthy. Now, then… *leaps up to slice at imp*
The imp sighs again as the swordsman flies towards him. The mask shakes once again and Joshua is trapped in the air. “Look, I really don’t want to fight you, and if I did want to kill you you’d all be dead right now.” He turned towards Erk. “You seem to know of this mask, well don’t worry. The evil inside of it is long gone so it’s a lot weaker than it once was, but that’s still a lot more powerful than you all. The mask salesman? He gave it to me. That’s all you really need to know.” He releases Joshua and he falls back to the ship. “Let me let you in on a little secret, the creatures that have been after you? They’re from another world. Some are from my world and others are from a world similar to mine but still slightly different. They all have one thing in common though, they’re REALLY predictable.” He pointed to a spot near the bow of the ship. “You, green head, aim a shot over there.” Sain, not sure what else to do, raised the Master Sword above his head one last time and swung. At first, the energy blast tore through the air towards nothing, then, the wizzrobes reappeared, ready to launch another strike, right in the spot where the imp had pointed. The blast connected with its target and the creature dissolved like the rest. Sain was shocked. “How did you know where it was going to be?” The imp laughed. “HAHA, you don’t pay attention much do you? Like I said, these creatures are predictable, you just have to figure out what they’re going to do.”
Sain was still troubled by his words. “Why are you helping us imp?” The imp turned toward Dread Isle. “HE took two very important things from me. I just want to see them again, and this mask doesn’t have the power to stop him.” He thought for a moment. “And you can call me Skull Kid, just be sure to be on top of that mountain in 3 days got it?”
“Haha, you are too kind my dear Nino.” He smiled. “I am quite dashing if I do say so myself, especially moreso than that Kent.” He scowls, then sighs. “You have grown to be quite beautiful yourself.” He smiled, then thought for a second. “By the way, how is that shady character you always seemed to be around… What on earth was his name… Jaffis I believe?”
“Me either, Sister… Hopefully I can read this right..!” The Mage read off what he could from the tome, shooting out a quick ball of light energy to the poltergeist.
